STAND UP SC kicks off 2010 Campaign!!

The 2010 elections will be like none in generations. These elections will be vital to the renewal of limited government that is representative of its citizens and this election cycle will not be business as usual. Normally, endorsements are not made until a few weeks or months before primaries or general elections. Again, this is no time for business as usual.
Because there is a candidate who has demonstrated the political courage to stand up to the good ole boys in the South Carolina General Assembly and for this candidate’s commitment to transparent government, Stand Up SC is pleased to announce its endorsement of Representative Nikki Haley for Governor - the highest office in our state.
For the office of Lt. Governor, we are honored to endorse a dedicated American Citizen-Soldier, Bill Connor of Orangeburg. Lt. Col. Connor has shown that he is willing to defend our Constitution and our values with his life. What greater demonstration of commitment could we ask for?
Here are the criteria we use in making all endorsements:
A demonstrated commitment to Limited Government as defined by the U.S. and South Carolina constitutions.
A demonstrated commitment to Free Enterprise providing the freest, most open market place possible.
A demonstrated Respect For Citizenship by honoring those who are born here and those who come here honestly, respectfully, and legally.
A demonstrated understanding that Actions Have Consequences that neither governments nor corporations, nor individuals who make foolish decisions will be rewarded with bailouts of any type at any time.
Stand Up SC announced these endorsements yesterday at the Tea Party “Celebrate Freedom/Rollback Government” Rally in Columbia on the grounds of the South Carolina State House. We will now go to work in order to help these candidates in their efforts to lead South Carolina towards more open, honest, and limited government that is respectful of its citizens.

I thought the tea party went great on Sat. Of course tv media was not there because it was a “republican event”. I am excited about Nikki running!! Thank you for all the hard work you have done.
