Stand Up South Carolina

Endorsement Criteria

Recognizing that the 2010 elections are vital to the renewal of our Constitutional Republic and that the elections will not be “business as usual”, Stand Up South Carolina is endorsing candidates for local, state and federal office who understand that South Carolina and America are at a crossroads. We can no longer afford to elect any leaders who do not adhere to and live by the freedoms guaranteed in the US and SC Constitutions. We must STAND UP to protect our American values!

This is why the Board of Directors of Stand Up SC have agreed that the following criteria are the benchmarks in which a candidate must meet in order to be awarded the Stand Up SC endorsement.

At times, more than one candidate may obtain the Stand Up SC endorsement in any given race. The is no limit to the number of endorsements as long as the established criteria is met.

1. A demonstrated commitment to Limited Government as defined by the U.S. and South Carolina constitutions.

2. A demonstrated commitment to Government Transparency through support of unlimited Roll Call Voting and mandating On-line Agency Check Registers to the protect and advance the principles of limited, open, and honest government.

3. A demonstrated commitment to Free Enterprise providing the freest, most open market place possible.

4. A demonstrated Respect For Citizenship by honoring those who are born here and those who come here honestly, respectfully, and legally.

5. A demonstrated understanding that Actions Have Consequences that neither governments nor corporations, nor individuals who make foolish decisions will be rewarded with bailouts of any type at any time.
